Why We Built Trilliant Health

Directionally correct isn't good enough.

What you do today are the things that our founders did in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. What we learned – and bet you know too – is that healthcare organizations cannot make optimal strategy decisions based on data that is stale, incomplete or built on assumptions nobody has tested in years.

Since we founded Trilliant Health in 2017, the pressures on health economy stakeholders have only increased. The commercially insured population is shrinking. Costs continue to rise. New competitors continue to emerge. In a negative-sum game, the difference between winning and losing depends first on understanding the competitive landscape in your market.

We built Trilliant Health around a single premise: healthcare organizations deserve the same caliber of data-driven strategy that every other industry takes for granted.

Healthcare is a negative-sum game.
We built Trilliant Health to help you win.

Mission

To redefine how the healthcare industry develops strategies

Vision

An algorithmic approach for every mission-critical decision

From Our Founder

"We want people to use data for strategy like they do in every other part of the economy, whether it’s Procter & Gamble or Apple."

Hal Andrews · President & CEO, Trilliant Health

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Four principles we don't negotiate on.

In a negative-sum game, the status quo is a losing strategy. Our insights are based on these fundamental precepts.
01

Healthcare isn't exempt from the laws of economics.

For decades, the U.S. health economy has operated as if the fundamental rules of economics — demand, supply, yield — do not apply. This is not sustainable.
02

Data is messy, and cleaning it is job one.

Healthcare data is scattered across payers, providers and geographies. Most vendors work around that fragmentation. We've spent a decade solving it — building methodology that assembles the fragments into a coherent picture.
03

Technology is a means; insights are the end.

Software doesn't defend a decision in a boardroom. Understanding does. Our technology platform is the means to an end: the best possible answer to your strategic question.
04

Expertise and transparency matter.

Data without expertise produces false confidence. Our analysts have done what you do today – developing strategic plans, growing service lines, negotiating managed care agreements. They are your strategic partners, and core to how Trilliant Health works.
