Trilliant has rapidly expanded from 40 to 90+ employees in the last 4 years and is looking to grow our team as we enter the next phase of the company. You will be part of the new Market Strategy & Research team responsible for redefining how provider organizations leverage Trilliant’s robust data and predictive insights to deliver value for their communities through strategic research and education, health policy analysis and advisory services.

Role Overview:

This fellowship ideal for candidates interested in pursuing a graduate degree in healthcare management/policy and/or a career in health services research. This role will be instrumental in supporting the Chief Research Officer in the development and execution of Trilliant’s thought leadership and market research offerings. This role will have a front row seat to supporting the Trilliant leadership team in building out this new function and will own a variety of special projects from identifying key trends, preparing proposals and client deliverables, supporting speaking engagements, data analysis, writing blogs, coordinating projects and internal/external communications, and synthesizing takeaways across research projects and reports.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, a motivated self-starter, passionate about healthcare, skilled in distilling volumes of information, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on ambiguity, and is an avid learning seeking to develop more knowledge about healthcare trends and how to disseminate insights to executive audiences across the industry.This individual is proactive and can’t help but think five steps ahead. If you don’t have the answer, you take the initiative to figure it out.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature reviews and provide background research for strategic projects and reports on topics related to health services and health policy.
  • Support collection and organization of primary and secondary data sources.
  • Create and format tables, charts, presentations and other graphics.
  • Assist in the development of new offerings and projects, including drafting proposals, and assisting in the implementation of those projects.
  • Translate, format and summarize research for internal and external deliverables.
  • Draft and edit findings blogs, briefs, reports and presentations.
  • Create customized and presentation-quality decks from quantitative and qualitative data analysis results.
  • Support project teams with activities including conference calls, webinars, in-person meetings – including presenter coordination and material preparation for C-suite executive audiences.
  • Support routine operations of the research function from external content distribution via newsletters and presentations to monitoring and reporting activities of new initiatives.
  • Ensure quality control of all deliverables.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with basics of U.S. healthcare organization, financing and delivery
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to transform complicated information into easy to understand materials
  • Ability to understand and easily visualize quantitative data, with emphasis on data storytelling for a non-analytics focused audience
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with executive-level individuals
  • Administrative and project coordination experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • 1-2 years of experience in research setting, internship experiences qualify.  Experience in public health, health policy, healthcare management disciplines is preferred.

Location:

This position can be based in either the Washington, D.C., or Nashville, TN metro areas. The Fellow position is structured as a hybrid role with a combination of in-office and remote work.
